Browser extension
One-click save, highlight capture, and "you've been here before", right in your browser.
The SortlyAI browser extension is the fastest way to capture what you're reading and to know what your library already holds. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium browsers.
Installing & signing in
Install from the Chrome Web Store, click the SortlyAI toolbar icon, and sign in. Pin the icon so save is always one click away. See Installing the apps.
Saving
- Save the page: click the icon, or right-click → Save to SortlyAI.
- Save a link or image: right-click a link or image and save it directly.
- Save a highlight: select text, right-click → Save highlight to SortlyAI. The page is bookmarked automatically if it wasn't already. See Highlights.
"On this page"
Turn on page lookup and the extension tells you what your library knows about each page you open. It's off until you say yes: the popup asks once, and you can change it later with the toggle at the bottom of the popup. While it's on, the address of each page you open is sent to SortlyAI to check against your library. Lookups aren't stored.
- A badge on the icon: a green check if you've saved the page, or a count of related items otherwise.
- An On this page panel in the popup: saved state, how many highlights you have on it, and semantically related saves, notes, and recordings from across your library that open on click.
Exact-URL "have I saved this?" checks are free for everyone; the related-items lookup is a paid-plan feature. The extension caches per URL for a short while, and never checks incognito or non-web pages.
Quick search
The popup includes a quick search so you can find and open a saved item without leaving the page you're on.
Note
The extension respects your privacy: it only checks pages you actually visit while it's enabled, skips incognito, and you can turn the page-awareness feature off entirely.
