Importing your data
Move your bookmarks in from Pocket, Raindrop, Chrome, or Safari, then let AI organize them.
Switching to SortlyAI? Bring your existing bookmarks with you. Import lives in the dashboard under Settings → Import / Export.
Supported sources
- Pocket: CSV export (including the 2025 shutdown format) and legacy Pocket HTML, with tags preserved.
- Raindrop: CSV export; Raindrop folders become tags.
- Chrome / Safari: the browser's exported HTML bookmarks.
- SortlyAI JSON: the bookmarks JSON from a SortlyAI export (for moving between accounts).
How it works
- Export a file from your current tool.
- In Settings → Import, choose the source and upload the file.
- Review the parsed bookmarks and confirm the import.
Organize with AI after importing
Right after a confirmed import, the Organize with AI panel can tidy the whole batch for you: Pro
- Auto-tag the untagged bookmarks.
- Suggest themed collections you create with one click.
This turns a raw dump of hundreds of links into an organized library in a couple of clicks. See AI tagging & summaries.
Exporting
Your data is never locked in. Exporting is free on every plan.
Export everything (Settings → Import / Export) downloads one zip of your whole library:
bookmarks/:bookmarks.html(imports into Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge),bookmarks.jsonwith every field, one Markdown file per bookmark, and the saved page snapshots.notes/: your notes as Markdown, with tags and collection in the front matter (opens in Obsidian, Logseq or any editor).files/: the original files you uploaded, plus an index of their details.voice-notes/: each recording as Markdown (summary, action items, your notes, transcript) and the audio.highlights.json,collections.json, and aREADME.mdexplaining the layout.
Large libraries take a few minutes: the download streams straight to disk, so size isn't a problem. If a file can't be fetched, the export continues and lists it in export-warnings.txt.
You can also export just your bookmarks as JSON, HTML, CSV or Markdown from the same screen, or select bookmarks in the library and export only those.
Note
Import is a web-dashboard feature (it relies on uploading exported files from your browser). Once imported, everything is available on the extension and the native apps too.
