Search & command palette
Find anything across every item type instantly, by keyword, tag, or the ⌘K command palette.
Everything you save is searchable in one place: bookmarks, notes, files (including extracted text), and voice notes (including transcripts).
Searching
The field at the top of the library does two jobs:
- Press Enter to search titles, content, tags, and extracted/transcribed text.
- Press Ask (or ⌘ + Enter, Ctrl + Enter on Windows/Linux) to send the same text to Ask your library as a question.
- Press
/anywhere on the library page to jump to the field. - Narrow results with the type chips (Pages, Notes, Files, Voice), a tag, or a collection.
Command palette (⌘K)
Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux) to open the command palette, an instant, cross-type search plus quick navigation to any section. It's the fastest way to jump to a specific save or a part of the app without leaving the keyboard.
Natural-language questions
For questions rather than lookups ("what did I decide about pricing?"), use Ask your library, which answers from your content with citations instead of returning a list of links.
Tip
Search covers text SortlyAI has extracted: a PDF you uploaded is findable by its contents, and a podcast you transcribed is findable by what was said in it.
