Getting Started
How do I install the SortlyAI extension?
Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for "SortlyAI" or use our direct link. Click "Add to Chrome" and the extension will be installed in seconds. See our installation guide for detailed steps.
Is SortlyAI free?
Yes! SortlyAI offers a free Basic plan with unlimited bookmarks and manual organization. Upgrade to Pro ($5/month) for AI-powered features like auto-tagging, smart summaries, and intelligent search. See our pricing page for details.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, an account is required to sync your bookmarks across devices and access them from the dashboard. Sign up with email or use Google OAuth for instant access. Your data is encrypted and secure.
Which browsers are supported?
Currently, SortlyAI is available for Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera). Firefox and Safari support is planned for future releases.
Using SortlyAI
How do I save a bookmark?
Click the SortlyAI extension icon in your browser toolbar while on any webpage. Add a title, description, and tags, then click "Save". The bookmark is instantly synced to your account. Check out our first bookmark tutorial.
Can I organize bookmarks with tags?
Absolutely! Tags are the primary way to organize bookmarks in SortlyAI. Add multiple tags to each bookmark, and Pro users get AI-suggested tags automatically. Learn more in our organization guide.
How do I search my bookmarks?
Use the search bar in the dashboard or extension popup. Search by title, URL, tags, or description. Pro users can use natural language search and content-based queries. See the search guide for advanced techniques.
Can I edit or delete bookmarks?
Yes! Open any bookmark in the dashboard, click the edit button to modify the title, description, or tags. To delete, click the trash icon. Changes sync instantly across all devices.
How do I import existing bookmarks?
Go to Settings in the dashboard and use the "Import Bookmarks" feature. You can import from your browser's bookmark file (HTML export) or from other bookmark managers.
AI Features (Pro Plan)
What AI features are available?
Pro users get auto-tagging (AI suggests relevant tags), smart summaries (AI generates bookmark descriptions), and intelligent search (natural language queries). Learn more in our AI features guide.
How does auto-tagging work?
When you save a bookmark, our AI analyzes the page content and suggests relevant tags. You can accept, reject, or modify these suggestions. Over time, the AI learns your tagging preferences.
Can I try AI features before upgrading?
Yes! New users get a 7-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card required to start the trial.
Account & Billing
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Go to Settings → Plan & Billing in the dashboard and click "Upgrade to Pro". Payment is processed securely through Stripe. You can cancel anytime.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & Billing. You'll keep Pro features until the end of your billing period, then automatically switch to the free Basic plan.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Contact support@sortlyai.app for assistance.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account and click "Delete Account". This permanently deletes all your bookmarks and data within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
Privacy & Security
Is my data secure?
Yes! All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use industry-standard security practices and never sell your data. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Can you see my bookmarks?
Our support team can only access your data if you explicitly request help and grant permission. Your bookmarks are private by default and not used for any purpose other than providing the service.
Do you track my browsing history?
No. The extension only accesses the current page URL and title when you explicitly save a bookmark. We do not track your browsing history or monitor your activity.
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export all your bookmarks as JSON or HTML from Settings → Data Export. This ensures you always have a copy of your data.
Troubleshooting
Extension icon is not showing
Check if the extension is enabled in Chrome → Extensions. If it's enabled but not visible, click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin SortlyAI. See our troubleshooting guide.
Bookmarks not syncing
Ensure you're signed in to the same account on all devices. Check your internet connection. Try signing out and back in. If issues persist, contact support.
Can't log in to the extension
Make sure you're using the correct email and password. Try resetting your password from the dashboard login page. Clear your browser cache and try again.
